Short answer: Follow Up Boss is a CRM you plug your own website and lead sources into, with public prices and no contract. BoldTrail (kvCORE was folded into it in 2024, per BoldTrail's FAQ) is an all-in-one platform with IDX website, CRM and marketing. It is sold by quote, often through your brokerage. If your brokerage already provides BoldTrail, learn it before you pay for a second CRM.

- Follow Up Boss if you already have a website you like, buy leads from Zillow/Realtor.com/Facebook, and want to manage a team's speed-to-lead with reporting.
- BoldTrail if your brokerage provides it at low or no cost, or you want one login for site, CRM and campaigns and are comfortable with a quote-based contract.

FAQ
Is kvCORE the same as BoldTrail?
Yes. BoldTrail's FAQ says kvCORE is no longer sold as a standalone product and kvCORE customers were migrated to BoldTrail in 2024.
How much does BoldTrail cost?
BoldTrail does not publish prices. Its FAQ says cost depends on account size, products and add-ons, and recommends requesting a quote.
Is Follow Up Boss cheaper than kvCORE?
For a solo agent, Follow Up Boss Grow is $69/month (public price). BoldTrail is quote-only, so compare against your written quote.
